Nosa Omoigui, Chairman & CEO
Mr. Omoigui is a former Program Manager in Microsoft Research, where he helped develop company-wide research and technology strategy. Prior to Microsoft Research, he was a software design engineer and development lead in several Microsoft product groups, where he helped ship multiple enterprise and consumer products including Windows 2000, Windows Media Technologies, and Interactive Television.
Mr. Omoigui has received numerous awards for research and innovation and for both management and professional achievements. He has a total of 9 granted and 23 pending patents, including two pending patents for the “Information Nervous System,“ which is the invention on which Nervana’s technology is based. He holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (and Engineering and Public Policy), Carnegie Mellon University.
Stephen Madson, Director of Product Development
At Nervana, Stephen Madson leads product development for the Nervana Discovery next-generation semantic portal and Semantic User Interface (SUI). Stephen brings nine years of product development and leadership experience to Nervana.
Prior to Nervana, Stephen was a Development Lead at Microsoft, where he led the development of key pieces of Microsoft Windows Live, Microsoft’s next-generation web services and consumer portal infrastructure. Stephen is recognized as one of the foremost developers of Web and AJAX-based solutions in the industry with a unique combination of relevant skills and management expertise. Prior to Microsoft, Stephen was a development lead and developer at Asix (a Seattle-based software developer) and at WildTangent.
